Terms of service
Last updated October 19, 2026.
Booking the studio
A booking exists once we have confirmed your date in writing and received your deposit. A request on its own does not hold a date, and we cannot hold a date informally while you decide.
Rates, minimums and payment
Rates and minimums are listed on the booking page. The balance is due on or before the day of your booking unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Overtime runs at time and a half, billed by the hour.
Deposits and cancellation
The deposit and cancellation terms are on our policies page and they are part of these terms.
Insurance
You are responsible for carrying insurance for your booking and for giving us a certificate of insurance before you load in. We can turn away a booking that arrives without one.
Capacity and use of the space
Headcounts and capacities are limits, not targets. A production booking covers the crew size you told us about. Events cap at 150 guests. Rigging, pyro, animals, minors on set, and anything structural all need our agreement in advance.
The house rules on our policies page apply to everyone you bring with you, and you are responsible for your crew, cast, guests and vendors while they are in the building.
Damage
You cover the cost of repairing or replacing anything damaged during your booking beyond ordinary wear. Tell us as soon as it happens. Problems we find after you leave cost everyone more to sort out.
Your work is yours
We claim nothing in what you shoot here. You keep every right in your footage, images and audio. We will not use your material to promote the studio unless you tell us we can.
If we have to cancel
If something outside our control makes the space unusable, a building failure or an order from the city for example, we will refund what you have paid for that booking or move you to another date, whichever you prefer. That refund is the limit of what we owe you.
Liability
You use the studio at your own risk and you are responsible for working safely in it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, which includes lost production time, lost profit, and the cost of reshooting.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in Kings County, New York.
Changes
We can update these terms. The version on this page on the day you book is the version that applies to your booking.
